Join us!The Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the Assisted Living and Assisted Living Memory Care (AL/MC) facilities. Reporting directly to the Associate Executive Director (AED). This leadership role ensures the AL/MC communities consistently meet or exceed state and federal regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional resident care and services.

The LALD provides clinical oversight and plays a key role in staff management, including coordinating resident admissions and discharges. They collaborate closely with the AL Director of Nursing Services and the AED to ensure that all aspects of resident care align with regulatory standards and best practices. Additionally, the LALD participates in a rotating on-call schedule, taking on-call duties every fourth week to triage operational concerns-typically via phone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To comply with the laws and rules of Minnesota, of the BELTSS board and other

Minnesota state agencies regarding licensure as an assisted living director and operation of an assisted living facility in Minnesota

2.To be responsible for the general administration and management of the assisted living facility and oversee the day-to-day operation of the assisted living facility. This includes responsibility for:

  • ensuring that services and support are provided to residents in a manner that protects their health, safety, and well-being and is consistent with residents' rights, including the right to choose to refuse services;
  • maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • developing and implementing all policies, procedures, and services required
  • ensuring staff and volunteers comply with residents' rights;
  • recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff; and
  • ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of an individualized, person-centered plan of care for each resident, regardless of the internal or contracted service model.

3. Budget development and financial accountability

4. Establishing and maintaining effective communication and relationships with staff, residents, family members, regulators, and the community.

5. Assure required or needed licenses, permits, insurances, contracts, etc. are in place and maintained.

6. Determine the facility mission and organization of the workforce, assuring adequate staffing to meet resident and facility needs and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold a license as an Assisted Living Director or be permitted as an Assisted Living Director in Residence.

This position requires a college degree with education in the area of gerontology, dementia care, recreation therapy or the equivalent professional experience.

This position further requires at least two years experience in assisted living.

The position demands attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills. This position requires the ability to work under pressure, ability to work independently and arrange work schedule of self and others to meet objectives and deadlines. Must also have good judgment in determining needs of residents and in maintaining resident care delivery in conformance with recognized standards; and is expected to understand and follow all regulatory and corporate policies related to confidentiality of the resident's medical and personal information.

Compensation Pay Range:

$75,600.00 - $95,300.00

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $75,600.00 - $95,300.00. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
