Job Overview
The Sr Manager, Cloud Hardware leads a team responsible for developing, deploying, and optimizing cloud hardware infrastructure that supports computer, networking, and storage systems at T-Mobile. This role provides strategic leadership, guiding engineering teams in executing cloud-hardware integration, performance optimization, and automation initiatives. The Sr Manager partners with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security of hardware solutions. Drives technical innovation, fosters team development, and aligns cloud-hardware strategy with business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of cloud hardware engineers and managers, ensuring technical excellence and career growth.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud hardware infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to align hardware solutions with T-Mobile's cloud strategy.
- Ensure hardware efficiency, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Enforce hardware security standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud hardware operations.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (Required)
- Master's/Advanced Degree Master's in a relevant field (Preferred)
- 7-10 years Experience in cloud hardware engineering, infrastructure leadership, or related technical fields. Required
- 2-4 years People management experience leading technical engineering teams. Required
- 7-10 years Hands-on experience with server hardware components, including processors, storage, PCBAs, power systems, and networking equipment. Required
- 7-10 years Broader leadership experience in cloud environments, automation, or vendor collaboration. Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership & Team Management Experience leading engineering teams, coaching, and fostering talent growth. (Required)
- Cloud & Hardware Infrastructure Strong understanding of cloud and hardware systems, including computer, networking, and storage. (Required)
- Hardware & Software Integration Proven ability to optimize cloud hardware with software platforms for maximum efficiency. (Required)
- Strategic Planning & Vendor Management Experience in working with vendors and cross-functional teams to develop cloud hardware solutions. (Required)
- Security & Compliance Expertise in hardware security, compliance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies. (Required)
- Process Improvement & Automation Leads automation initiatives for cloud hardware deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $162,400 - $293,000
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
