POSITION SUMMARY: The Managing Director Operations is accountable for the total performance of all field operations units within the region. This includes, but is not limited to; achieving both revenue and profit plans, maintaining and improving team-member morale, retention and productivity. In conjunction with the East/West VP of Operations, this position will establish strategic direction and be accountable for consistent operational execution throughout their assigned regional geography.
This position requires candidate to domicile in Minneapolis, MN GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)
- Accountable for the revenue and profit performance of all store operations within the region
- Insure that all locations within the region deliver a superior final product that meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Embodiment of the "Purple Promise" within the region "to make every FedEx Office experience outstanding"
- In conjunction with the Real Estate Team, accountable for the strategic market planning and site analysis review of all current and future real estate sites
- Responsible for delivering a consistent operational image, implementing national initiatives and producing a quality product in accordance with the guidelines found in the FedEx Office Operations Manual
- Provide support to and prioritize relationship with all strategic business partners within other departments. To include, but not limited to: Human Resources, Commercial Sales, Security, Real Estate, Marketing, Operations Support, Finance/Accounting, and Legal
- Plans and implements technology initiatives
- Works with Region HR Director to strategically hire, develop, train, retain, and continuously improve the performance of the Operations Team in the region
- Actively involved and visible leader within all top accounts in the region.
- Accountable for the implementation and strict adherence to the FedEx Office Company Vision, Mission, Norms and Values both personally and throughout the region
- Responsible for top-notch regional execution for all aspects of the FedEx Shipping business.
- Insure all team-members and locations throughout the region represent the FedEx Brand appropriately
- Provide a safe, secure, and hospitable workplace that affords all team-members a chance to voice their thoughts and feelings with impunity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of multi-unit operations management experience
- Established business to business sales experience
- Proven leadership and management skill in both building and the integration of cross-functional teams
- Must have proven P&L experience and comprehensive understanding of complex financial indices
