COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Our base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below. Actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, license/certifications, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Starting Base Annual Salary Range:

$74,550 - $112,750

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial and business data, preparing reports, forecasting, data mining, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the project business to ensure all parties meet required obligations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs), Project Analysts, procurement, and engineering to support the development and maintenance of monthly project cost forecasts.
  • Optimize project cash flow and manage tax issues, financial reporting, accounting, and project financing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Rules and Procedures, including proper costing of project business.
  • Support daily operations for the project accounting team, including invoicing, accounts payables, and accounts receivables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and recommend resolutions to project managers.
  • Promote commercial awareness within the project team and provide commercial input to the project execution plan.
  • Analyze financial variances and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assist with interim and annual audits.
  • Maintain and improve financial models to enhance analytics and identify areas for improvement, supporting management decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all areas (business processes, management education, reporting, analysis, data management, and integrity).
  • Conduct financial analysis, meet required deadlines, and clearly communicate results through models and materials.
  • Drive process improvement and analysis on an ongoing basis across all entities.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of Finance or Accounting experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management or Accounting.
  • Certifications: CPA, CFA or other relevant certifications are an asset, but not required.
  • Position-specific Qualifications:
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and cost forecasting.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions within the organization.
    • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Computer/Technological:
  • General Ledger, ERP and Database Systems
  • Professional competence in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • SAP Project Systems or similar tools
  • Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
  • Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time; be on-call on some weekends (if required).
  • General Working Conditions: Resident work designation
  • Travel: Be able to travel as needed.
  • Work Status: Legally permitted to work in the country you are applying and willing to undergo an employment background check.
