Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Scott Air Force Base (203 W. Losey Street, Illinois62225)
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret
Salary Range: $70,000 - $130,000
Required Certification(s):
* DoD IAT Level II Certification (Minimally).
SUMMARY
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's mission is to provide integrated Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) systems and manage strategic C4I resources in support of AMC's global air mobility mission. AFLCMC requires technical and support task services that enable the operational functionality and readiness state of the systems, infrastructure, and services that satisfy the HQ AMC mission for the Mobility Air Force (MAF) C2 Business Systems, projects, applications, and infrastructures. These services in total are referred to as Systems Infrastructure, Applications, Operations and Maintenance Services (SIAOMS). SIAOMS is AMC's answer to meeting these IT challenges by leveraging hardware, software, services, and support resource consolidation
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of networks that link numerous computing platforms and operating systems using a variety of network topologies and protocols.
* Performs optimization of all hardware elements of the network facilities and system testing and optimization of the software components.
* Responsible for the administration of all aspects of networks, including communications, security, license administration, file services, backup procedures, electronic mail, and printing services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
* DoD IAT Level II Certification (Minimally).
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* 4+ years of experience
* High School Diploma or Associate's Degree, as well as technical experience and appropriate certification.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
* Networking infrastructure: switches/routers, Juniper/Cisco, F5 Load Balancers, Firewalls
* Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, WAN and LAN Configuration, DHCP
Preferred Skills
* Experience supporting AMC's C2 and Business systems, processes, and customers.
* Linux/Windows
* Active Directory
* Familiarity with SSL/TLS Certificates
* Excellent communications skills
* Excellent Customer Focus/Satisfaction skills
* Strong team/personnel skills
* Strong understanding of and ability to demonstrate the Agile Defense Core Values: Happy, Helpful, Honest, Humble, Hungry, Hustle.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
Government and/or Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
Light - 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
