The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support its efforts in expanding awareness and engagement within the $4.8 trillion commercial real estate finance (CREF) industry. The intern will assist in designing, implementing, and marketing programs that promote industry opportunities. This role offers hands-on experience in project management, outreach strategy, and membership engagement.

SUMMARY:

As our CREF Industry Outreach Intern, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and marketing programs that cultivate interest and opportunities within the Commercial Multifamily Industry.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of program development and outreach. You will contribute to initiatives designed to promote career opportunities within the CREF sector, providing a valuable foundation for your future professional endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic outreach efforts of MBA's CREF Careers initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of the CREF Student Fellowship program.
  • Support our engagement with colleges, universities, and student organizations to cultivate interest in the industry.
  • Help organize and provide support for industry-related events, webinars, and student programs.
  • Facilitate effective communication with external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth execution of ongoing programs and projects.
  • At the conclusion of your internship, you will prepare and present your achievements sharing your learning journey through a short presentation.

Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to learn about marketing and engagement, particularly in the context of developing outreach strategies that resonate with a wide spectrum of people.
  • Currently enrolled or recent graduation from an accredited undergraduate/graduate program in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Expert level Outlook, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Position is part-time.
