Who we are looking for: The Senior Solutions Architect will be a member of the Architecture and Integrations team. This team works closely with Digital Steering, JD Edwards ERP, Saleforce.com, Financial Services, and Agent Portal teams. The Senior Solutions Architect will be an expert on the relationships between and the flow of information through Atkore's technology portfolio. This role reports to the Director of IT Architecture and Integrations and will be based in our Mokena, Illinois office. What you'll do: The Senior Solutions Architect will be a member of the IT Architecture and Integrations team supporting multiple leadership groups and project teams with subject matter expertise on the capabilities of our solutions and environments. The solution architect has influence guiding the advancement of the Digital Roadmap to the desired future state.
- Communicate how applications support business capabilities in terms of functional fit, technical fit, and risk
- Communicate initiatives in a way that both business and technology professionals can understand
- Translate abstract problems into concrete solutions that can be executed to drive business outcomes
- Lead technology assessments and make recommendations regarding the most appropriate applications and tools to deliver desired business capabilities
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Atkore's systems and environments, ensuring architectural documentation is maintained and regularly updated to reflect current standards and practices
- Consult on Atkore's Digital Roadmap and its associated projects
- Work closely with the Integrations team, providing guidance and subject matter expertise with solution design and implementation
- Work closely with Infrastructure on the design and maintenance of system environments including cloud services / SAAS / PAAS environments and providers
- Assume Subject Matter Expert roles and responsibilities as needed on major technology initiatives
- As an end-to-end system and solution expert, help troubleshoot, and problem solve current systemic issues impacting production
- Participate in internal Lean and Kaizen events in customer areas
What you bring:
- BS / BA in Computer Science, Business or related field of study
- At least 5 years of experience implementing enterprise IT applications, defining and mapping business processes, and understanding integration between various applications
- Experience with API design patterns and implementation (e.g. Microservices, Request/Response, Event-Driven, Data Integrations, etc.) is desirable
- Experience with J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne, Salesforce.com and Sitecore is desirable
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside non-technical business colleagues
- Experience working with all levels of staff to define business and technical requirements
- Ability to get support and buy-in for recommendations and decisions
- Experience supporting customer service, manufacturing, marketing, sales, logistics, and financial communities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver commitments while managing multiple priorities
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, Agile delivery processes
- Strong problem-solving facilitation skills

Within 3 months, you'll:
- Have successfully completed your onboarding and immersion program, with a full understanding of what's expected of you as well as who the stakeholders are that you'll work closely with
- Have a thorough understanding of Atkore's digital roadmap and IT priorities, both short and long-term
- Have exposure to Atkore's application landscape
Within 6 months, you'll:
- Be working collaboratively with the Integrations team on solution design of new integration patterns and their implementation
- Be working with the Architecture team on understanding existing application models, integration flows and sequence diagrams
- Be working closely with peers on the IT team on achieving KPI's, contributing ideas in the name of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing progress, establishing countermeasures where needed, and working collaboratively to achieve group objectives
Within 12 months, you'll:
- Be working with IT and Business partners leading technology assessments, thinking both critically and strategically while making recommendations on applications and tools to deliver business capabilities
- Be working collaboratively within the Architecture team creating and maintaining application models, data flows and a comprehensive technical roadmap of Atkore's systems and environments

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $113,600 - $156,200. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives. Benefits available include:
