OverviewAzure Object Storage team is looking for a talented and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to design and develop the next generation of our object storage stack. We are building Microsoft's cloud storage solution - Microsoft Azure Storage, which is a massively scalable, highly distributed, ubiquitously accessible storage system, designed to scale out and serve the entire world. We continue to have tremendous hockey stick growth; we have many Exabyte data stored and are designing and building systems for Zettabyte scale to support demand growth for the coming years. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who love to learn, have a passion for writing high quality software and enjoy collaborating with a dynamic team.As a Senior Software Engineer - Azure Object Storage, you will help solve the performance and scale requirements of the most demanding Machine learning, Analytics, and HPC workload. You will be solving challenges related to scale and reliability for a distributed system. You will be working on a dev-ops model and be responsible for the livesite and ensuring a high bar of quality. ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, maintain and operate services with high traffic, high resiliency with millions of requests across multiple global regions.Implement the next generation of enhancements in the Core Azure Blob Storage service.Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning.Lead technical projects and model the culture of the team.Responding to and mitigating any live site issues impacting customers.Proficient troubleshooting (debugging) skills and ability to take projects from beginning to end with little direct supervision.Teamwork and coordination skills with ability to create clarity from ambiguity. | |
