The IT Infrastructure Operations Supervisor provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Devon's IT infrastructure, encompassing on-premises and Azure cloud environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of storage systems, Windows and Linux servers, network infrastructure, and data center facilities. The supervisor leads and develops a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture that delivers exceptional customer-facing services and specialized support for geoscience and business teams.
  • Leads and develops a team of IT staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, and disaster recovery systems.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and adherence to cloud security best practices.
  • Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding IT inquiries, operational impacts, and departmental priorities.
  • Direct and manage infrastructure and IT projects from inception to completion, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure compliance with IT strategies, policies, procedures, and industry standards to optimize efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor and evaluate IT performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of IT services and processes.
  • Foster an inclusive team environment, building trust, role clarity, and empowering innovation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex infrastructure projects and teams.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, enterprise-grade hardware, and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
