TITLE: Engineering Lead - Hot End Exhaust

DUTIES: Develop hot end components/systems from concept selection to commercial launch. Support the Design Responsible (DR) in all resource coordination needs across multiple vehicles lines. Develop and maintain component standardization, including leading team reviews of engineering specifications that incorporate the latest lessons learned and best practices. Identify process improvements, including leading the coordination and development of new solutions that help improve the team's ability to execute commercial launches and overall productivity. Spec harmonization, & internal functional objective alignment. Review program related DFMEA's, DVPR's, and milestone reviews. Participate in warranty and competitive part reviews to support future lessons learned or best practices. Mentor and train new Design Responsible Engineer's (DRE's) and provide guidance when needed. Interface with suppliers and help support DRE's in issue root cause and resolution. Assist in reviewing 3D/2D drawings with DRE's. Assist DRE's for on-site reviews at vehicle assembly plants. Review and approve technical content of related Change Notices (CN's), Common Change Documents (CCD's), and Interim Action Approval (IAA's).

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related and 7 years of experience in job offered or related position in automotive exhaust systems. Experience must include: Experience working on complete vehicle/component development cycles; working with after-treatment systems; experience working with DVP&R and DFMEA; working with CATIA V5 or Unigraphics NX; experience in interpreting and applying Finite Element Stress Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue (TMF) studies during product development; and working with Tier 1 suppliers.

OTHER: Job Site: 800 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. 40 hours/week. If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S.
