Position Summary: To provide superior quality full-service support to Corporate staff for general facility maintenance and repair needs. Scope/Supervision: Interfaces with all levels of personnel at the Corporate Headquarters and other outside vendors. Responsibilities:
- Performs a wide range of building and equipment maintenance and repairs including preventative maintenance and general usage repair.
- Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Makes periodic checks and inspections of electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical equipment.
- Responds to HVAC issues that occur in the building and act as the backup for the lead facility maintenance associate when on vacation.
- Uses hand and power tools to perform basic operations to maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment.
- Responds to maintenance requests for items needing repair in the facility such as lighting, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Initiates and tracks work order repairs/moves/adds/changes.
- Plans and implements moves of various items using a variety of equipment and methods.
- Detects and reports unusual facility conditions.
- Acts as contact for facility emergencies.
- Supports outside vendors in implementing maintenance contract services.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3 or more years experience in building maintenance including electrical and plumbing diagnostics and repair.
- 2 or more years of commercial HVAC and controls experience.
- Safety and first aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Proficient computer skills. Microsoft office preferred.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of electrical and plumbing operating principles.
- Basic understanding of building functions such has HVAC and Plumbing.
- Ability to work from blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to work with hardware tools.
- Ability to work with outside vendors.
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, hear, speak, see, and to use hands to grasp and arms to lift above head and push and pull.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., climb, stoop, bend, and crawl.
- Ability to effectively work and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct work flow.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Good organization skills.
- Safety-minded.
- Excellent customer service skills including a positive demeanor.
- Day Shift: 4/10 work schedule.
