Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Fall 2025 semester on the Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York. Department: Dental Hygiene Full-Time Instructor Dental Assisting Certificate Program HV-FAC-8355 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors' degree; candidate must possess a current New York State License as a Registered Dental Assistant. Excellent oral and written communication skills; professional teaching experience is necessary to facilitate program goals and objectives; minimum of two years teaching experience with emphasis in practice management procedures; computer-based instruction is essential. Three years current clinical practice experience. Must be current member of their professional Dental Assisting Association; have current CPR certification/Healthcare Provider; experience with development and implementation of dental assisting coursework, faculty calibration methodology, recruitment initiatives, teaching methodology, and curriculum management development is preferred. DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The full-time instructor - Dental Assisting reports to the Department Chairperson of Dental Hygiene and performs the following duties: * Distance Learning Instruction, which may include but not limited to patient care, radiology, dental materials and sterilization and dental office procedures. The Salary for Fall 2025 academic year position is $52,500.00. Position will begin 9/2/2025.
