Cylinder Prep

Location:

• Performs venting, purge and vacuum of specialty mixes and pure gas cylinders.

• Operates multiple blow-down panels.

• Responsible for safe operation in processing high-pressure cylinders using manifolds, vacuum pumps, valves, gases and pneumatic tools.

• Performs installation and removal of CGA valves in cylinders.

• Operates forklift.

• Enters data in Production Planning software.

• Moves prepared product to fill stage area.

• Sort cylinders by type and CGA.

• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalen required;1-2 years experience in cylinder handling preferred.

• Forklift experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. Ability to walk and move heavy equipment is essential.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
