The process engineer will be tasked with becoming a process expert through internal and external trainings and must be knowledgeable of the detailed intricacies involved in Anodizing. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering. 5-8 Years of experience in process engineering in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. 3+ years of experience with surface finishing processes (i.e anodizing and /or painting) Written and oral fluency in English. ASQ Certification.(preferred) Job Responsibilities: Become Technical Process Expert: Always pursues a deeper knowledge of applicable subject matters in area of coverage (Anodizing and Extrusion) in order to drive innovative solutions. Identifies Internal Issues: Uses various methods (data review, visual detection, reported complaints/concerns internally) to identify issues in the product and process. Coordinates long or short term resolution as needed utilizing employees involved in the work. Analysis of Results: Compile and evaluate test, nonconformance, and/or inspection data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Leads Improvement Projects: Lead continuous improvement for both small and large scale projects while supporting corrective action implementation. Supports Product Dispositioning: Works with employees to ensure suspect material is dispositioned appropriately per internal requirements while discussing the logic behind decisions to TMs. Provides direction. Evaluate Capabilities: Ensure processes are capable, have sufficient controls in place, can meet delivery requirements and meet cost targets. Production Support: Respond efficiently and effectively to address product quality issues and play an active role in meeting departmental KPIs. Change Control: Assist in implementing required process changes to meet all of the above criteria as well as training plant personnel on these procedures and process changes.
