Minnesota Physicians is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient Psychiatry Team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

The Inpatient Psychiatry team is comprised of world-renowned experts skilled at managing and treating individuals with mental health needs. We offer a wide range of new treatment options for patients with anxiety, depression, and chemical dependency among other mental health conditions.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Care for patients on general adult inpatient mental health units, as well as speciality units including young adult, geriatric and detox.
  • Join a team of 9 Psychiatrists and 3 PMHNPs.
  • Average daily census is 8-10 beds.
  • Enjoy practicing in an excellent team environment and receive great ancillary and administrative support.

Schedule:

  • Part time 0.6 FTE
  • Daytime shift
  • Weekend and weeknight call
  • No overnight call between 10pm and 8am.

We're Looking For a NP or a PA Who Is:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
  • Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
  • Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Training and experience in caring for patients with psychiatric disorders.

The full-time salary range is $150,000 - 170,000 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
