Job Description:

Cydecor is seeking a Navy Mechanical Engineer to provide support to a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) customer. There are several openings spanning junior to senior positions.

The role will support the design, development, and evaluation of Unmanned Vehicle (UxV) systems by conducting engineering analyses, addressing technical issues, and contributing to future UxV requirements and acquisition documentation.

Candidates should possess strong engineering and acquisition fundamentals, as well as expertise UxV systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work will involve conducting review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction, and development of the future UxV requirements and acquisition documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
  • Perform ship design and construction Contractor and Subcontractor engineering and production analyses to include but not limited to physical progress, design progress and material procurement.
  • Review of engineering systems' technical data, engineering drawings, technical manuals, ILS data, ILS Checklists, and configuration baseline documentation to determine the changes required to update requirements and assist in establishing the new baseline specified by contract, contract specifications, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Conduct a review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction, and in the development of the future UxV requirements and acquisition documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.

Here's what you need:

  • Senior Level: 10+ years of professional experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mid-Level: 4+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Junior Level: 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Senior Level: 15+ years of professional experience and a master's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mid-Level: 7+ years of relevant experience and a master's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Junior Level: 4+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.

Security Clearance: Active/interim DOD SECRET

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's preferred.

Work Schedule:

M-F, Onsite

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected compensation range for this position is $83,500 - $185,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
