We're here to better our world with biology. Join us as our newest Material Planning Specialist! We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of raw and packaging materials, ensuring timely availability to meet production demands. In this role you'll make an impact by:
Creating and tracking purchase orders, ensuring accurate invoicing. Managing inventory levels, identifying potential shortages, and ensuring timely replenishment. Track aging and expiring materials, communicating with Operations and Finance of any upcoming disruptions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Communicating supplier-related issues to ensure satisfaction. Liaison between Operations and Sourcing. Verify incoming materials for accuracy. Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy. Generate reports and analyze procurement data. Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements.
To succeed you must hold:
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, material management, or supply chain management. Strong communication and interpersonalskills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organizational and time management skills. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
