WAGES AND BENEFITS

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour; Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), 24 hours of paid employee volunteer time, plus nine paid holidays and three floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA), and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. MACC sponsors a retirement plan with a 4% employer match plus a 2% employer contribution after one year of service and immediate vesting.

Schedule

This position works in collaboration with the MACC HR Team to support HR members as an external role but will also collaborate with internal MACC employees around Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA). We are a hybrid organization and team, some time will be spent in person at our MACC office, some will be spent in the community.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as MACC's Learning & Equity Specialist provides an opportunity to assess MACC's current IDEA practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop and coordinate strategic initiatives to promote a more diverse, equitable, accessible and inclusive workplace. This position will also support MACC HR's member organizations via delivering learning and development trainings focused on both HR topics and IDEA topics. Other responsibilities will include the following:



  • Working collaboratively with MACC leadership and other MACC HR staff to assess the organization's current internal IDEA culture through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and data analysis to identify strengths, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Providing partnership, guidance, and support to MACC leadership on implementing IDEA strategies, fostering inclusive behaviors, and addressing IDEA concerns.
  • Providing coordination & management support for IDEA initiatives, which may include potential employee resource groups, IDEA committees or affinity groups, or special organization-wide IDEA projects.
  • Tracking and analyzing IDEA data to measure progress and identify areas for continued focus.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to build relationships across the organization to ensure alignment on IDEA goals and initiatives.
  • Developing/suggesting training based on member needs- and with an IDEA lens, including human resources focused topics, leadership topics, and IDEA-specific topics.
  • Facilitating training and workshops for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborating with HR to conduct policy review and development, including identifying areas where changes can be made to promote equity and inclusion.
  • Partnering closely with MACC HR Services to understand unique training needs by member organization with an IDEA lens and assisting with building and coordinating appropriate training plans and schedules.
  • Developing relationships, curating potential partners, and coordinating with external training providers and other external agencies that can meet the training needs of MACC HR members.
  • Obtaining, organizing, and/or developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.



Who You Are



  • You have an associate / bachelor's / master's degree in a relevant field, or you have demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with at least 2 years of experience in adult learning or development practices.
  • You demonstrate interest in the human services nonprofit sector; experience working in a nonprofit setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • You have a working understanding of Human Resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • You are resilient, flexible, and able to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and responsibilities.
  • You possess effective interpersonal communication skills displayed through strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft suite software, internet resources, and data management software.
  • You possess strong skills in delivering engaging in-person and virtual training sessions to diverse audiences.
  • You are proficient in designing training content, assessments, and materials for various formats (e.g., classroom, virtual, self-paced).
  • You are a self-motivated, detailed-oriented individual with a strong ability to effectively prioritize.
  • You demonstrate the ability to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • You possess strong problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • You have the ability to establish, maintain, and grow healthy working relationships with internal and external partners in the course of work.
  • You have the ability to maintain absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • You have the ability to tailor content and delivery based on learner roles, skill levels, and learning preferences.
  • You are a passionate supporter of diverse, underserved, disenfranchised, and economically challenged communities and individuals.
  • You are authorized to drive and the ability to meet MACC's driving record requirements
