Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a Transportation Manager

This position will provide transportation office management support for all tactical vehicles and commercial Government vehicles assigned to Marine Command Security Force Battalion (MCSFBN). The Transportation Manager is responsible for facilitating an annual commercial fleet review, capturing user requirements throughout the year, coordinating with Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) transportation manager for updated commercial Government vehicle fleet vehicle options in order to validate vehicle requirements and provide any recommendations to MCSFBN logistics office and the SWFLANT Transportation Manager.

Key Responsibilities / Actions:

  1. Prepare/submit Inventory Objective forms to initiate requested changes to vehicle fleet.
  2. Track status of Inventory Objective forms and inform the Motor Transportation and Logistics Office on the status of the vehicle fleet on a monthly basis.
  3. Conduct quality assurance checks on vehicle master logs and trip tickets.
  4. Perform monthly quality assurance checks on dispatching records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  5. Inform the Motor Transportation Office of all discrepancies.
  6. Provide a method to track to completion, maintain a vehicle mishap log, and provide a monthly report to the Logistics Office and the SWFLANT Transportation Manager.
  7. Receive/log/track mishap information from the time received to the completion of reporting.
  8. Provide the Motor Transportation Office a weekly report of all pending mishap actions.
  9. Screen all vehicle mishap reports for completeness and inform Motor Transportation Office of required actions.
  10. Provide documentation as necessary to support Command Investigations related to vehicle mishaps.
  11. Draft and submit vehicle reports to the MCSFBN Motor T, the MCSFBN S-4, and the SWFLANT Transportation Manager.
  12. Submit a monthly report of all current fiscal year commercial vehicle damage and mishaps to include vehicle identification information and cost estimates for repair.
  13. Maintain a historical file of these reports.
  14. Submit a weekly Equipment Status Report to the Logistics Office of all tactical and GSA vehicles in maintenance to include status of each vehicle using the format provided by the Logistics Office.
  15. Validate high mileage reports for GSA vehicles.
  16. Prepare/process vehicle accident reports.
  17. Maintain a historical file using the format provided by the Logistics Office.
  18. Provide data to perform historical trend analysis related to vehicle maintenance and mishaps utilizing information maintained in the vehicle records.
  19. Coordinate transportation support.
  20. Receive and process all vehicle requests/Training Support Requests in a timely manner.
  21. Inform the Motor Transportation Office of all support conflicts.
  22. Facilitate daily/weekly transportation planning by maintaining an electronic log illustrating vehicles assigned to pending commitments.
  23. Coordinate vehicle recovery operations.
  24. Report all requirements for towing via the established standard operating procedure (SOP).
  25. Provide commercial and tactical vehicle inventory/repair/maintenance/damage reports as required.
  26. Manage vehicle fleet assignments; this involves the services below:
  27. Issue and receive tactical and GSA vehicles to the individual MCSF companies, for all tactical and commercial vehicles assigned to MCSFBN elements.
  28. Maintain an electronic database which logs and tracks the assignment of all tactical and commercial vehicles which are issued to MCSFBN.
  29. Ensure changes in assignment of any vehicle are updated in order to maintain accuracy of the data.
  30. Provide a weekly report of assignment to the Motor Transport Office to support transportation planning.
  31. Perform vehicle dispatch functions.
  32. Ensure that all vehicles requiring dispatch are dispatched IAW MCO P11240.66 (Series) and TM 11240- 15/1 (Series).
  33. Ensure that the Master Log is accurate using information reported on all trip tickets for that time period.
  34. Ensure that the dispatch historical file is maintained IAW TM 11240-15/1.

Historically, the Transportation Manager has performed the following daily actions:

  • Provide oversight, monthly status report on the Transportation Support program.
  • Facilitate capturing new vehicle requirements.
  • Issue and receive GSA and Tactical vehicles to/from USMC Security Force.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on GSA leased vehicles and Tactical Security vehicles.
  • Provide customer service replies via email, phone and in person.
  • Validate High Mileage Report.
  • Prepare and submit required reports.
  • Process Vehicle Accident Reports.
  • Maintain Vehicle Record File.
  • Submit purchase requests.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours 0900 to 1630 or as established by the RA. The facility is closed during local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

Place of Performance: The primary work location will be within Government facilities Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Travel: The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of this contract.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

12 months' experience of transportation management.

Valid Driver's License.

Operating a government motor vehicle: The Transportation Manager must adhere to the following requirements: 1) Government vehicles are used for official purposes only and solely in the performance of the contract; 2) Government motor vehicles cannot be used for transportation between residence and place of employment, unless authorized in accordance with (IAW) 31 U.S.C. 1344 and 41 C.F.R. part 102-5; and 3) Government motor vehicles cannot be used for unofficial purposes or for other than in the performance of the contract; and 4) Pay any expenses or cost, without Government reimbursement, for using Government motor vehicles other than in the performance of the contract.
