Job Summary

Review product specifications and data for accuracy by accessing and reviewing Simphony and FoodPro softwares to check content and remove discrepancies. This is a temporary, unbenefited position.

Essential Functions



  • Maintains data integrity of UMass Dining's menu offerings by reviewing the FoodPro and Simphony databases.
  • Identifies issues and discrepancies between different dining establishments across campus, provide resolution and offer suggestions when working on product labels and product reformulation.
  • Communicates with internal and external teams to establish priorities and balance speed with the need for documentation and accuracy.
  • Compiles reports of findings to present to UMass Dining team.
  • Conducts data management and nutrient analysis.



Other Functions



  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)



  • Nutrition Science background and strong attention to detail.
  • General working knowledge of food service operations.
  • Basic knowledge of database systems and dining operations.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Working knowledge of office machines, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in report writing.



Physical Demands/Working Conditions



  • Typical office environment.



Work Schedule



  • 30 hours per week. Hours will be between 9AM and 5PM.
  • This is a temporary (6 months), unbenefited position.



Salary Information



  • $20.00- $25.00 per hour
