Requisition Summary

PACCAR Aviation is now hiring at our hangar in SeaTac! We have immediate openings for a Lead Mechanic. Come join our well established company that offers great benefits! Privately owned aviation support has been a part of PACCAR business model for decades. The PACCAR corporate flight department is based at SeaTac airport and operates three aircraft based in Seattle, WA and Denton, TX, flying primarily to locations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The Aircraft Lead Mechanic's position is an integral component of PACCAR's Corporate Aviation team, providing FAA Part 91 business travel support for all PACCAR divisions.

This position is based out of the PACCAR Inc Aviation Hanger in SeaTac, WA.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The Aircraft Lead Mechanic's primary objective is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Company's aircraft and support infrastructure as directed by the Director of Maintenance. This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Perform duties in a safe manner while ensuring the safety of all employees.
  • Remove from service any aircraft that is unsafe or not in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the FAA or the Company's Flight Operations Manual.
  • Interpret and comply with manufacturer Service Instructions, Service Bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Company aircraft according to aircraft manufacturer's criteria.
  • Dispatch and recover Company and itinerant aircraft.
  • Perform aircraft towing, parking and marshalling duties.
  • Refuel Company aircraft and perform fuel farm maintenance.
  • Interior and exterior aircraft grooming, disinfecting and lavatory servicing.
  • Operate and maintain aircraft support equipment including shop tools and tow-vehicles.
  • Data entry in CAMP maintenance tracking program.
  • Completing Work Orders and aircraft Log Books.
  • Shipping, receiving and ordering parts.
  • Hazardous material handling and knowledge.
  • Download and update aircraft navigation and software programs.
  • Participate in Company hangar inspection and maintenance duties.
  • Work a non-standard schedule, which may include weekends, evenings and occasional split shifts.
  • Work with MROs and 3rd party maintenance vendors to complete repairs and inspections on-time and on-budget.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required.
Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • 5 years of experience maintaining business jet aircraft.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid US Passport and driver's license.
  • Current Airframe & Power Plant Certificate (A&P).
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead mechanic with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interpret FAA regulations.
  • Ability to pass TSA background screening for Port of Seattle ID badge and ramp driving privileges.
  • Abilityto provide personal tools and box for Company work assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and computer competent.
  • Desire to drive change and improve processes and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream mid-cabin aircraft.
  • Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with CAMP

Physical Demands:

  • Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
