PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $25.67-$31.30 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.11-$37.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. BENEFITS

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Please note this role requires ongoing rotation onsite work at our Tukwila, WA office. This role will require closing shift hours from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Champion Member Support:
    Help members navigate card-related issues and inquiries with empathy, accuracy, and efficiency - making sure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

  • Resolve Daily Challenges:
    Tackle card-related problems head-on, partnering with team members to resolve departmental tasks and member concerns with thoughtful solutions.

  • Ensure Compliance & Timeliness:
    Handle member account updates, adjustments, and chargebacks in a timely and compliant manner, ensuring accuracy and care at every step.

  • Support Cross-Institution Transactions:
    Manage chargebacks and network adjustments, coordinating with merchants and other financial institutions to ensure timely and fair resolution.

  • Reconcile Financial Transactions:
    Dive into the details to research and assist in clearing general ledger suspense accounts, collaborating with Accounting for accurate reporting.

  • Master Card Services Systems:
    Stay sharp on all systems, vendors, and tools used across the Card Services department - your expertise will keep operations running smoothly.

  • Safeguard Card Inventory:
    Keep our card inventory secure and accurately tracked - because peace of mind starts with reliable security.

  • Know the Rules & Play by Them:
    Become a go-to expert on operating rules and regulations tied to network gateways, ensuring BECU processes align with all compliance standards.

  • Be a Product Pro:
    Know our card services inside and out so you can guide others, offer insights, and confidently support both members and teammates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent related work experience required

  • Minimum two years of experience in Operations function at a Financial Institution required

Desired Qualifications:

  • College level accounting classes preferred

  • Experience working in the Credit Card Services field, including Debit and Credit card regulations and transactions preferred

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks accurately and efficiently

  • Ability to handle large volumes and work well under deadlines

  • Ability to recognize and exercise all options available to provide quality member service

  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary
