How does this role contribute to our collective success? AXIS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Solution Architect to join our Business Technology Services (BTS) division, focused on defining new and innovative underwriting workbench solutions for our specialty insurance lines. The Solution Architect will define the technical and architectural vision for our Underwriting Workbench solution, while ensuring a scalable, secure, and compliant solution aligned to business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of insurance processes and technology delivered in a fast-paced Agile environment.
What will you do in this role? * Architect and design the technical solutions for the underwriting workbench * Provide solution architecture guidance for the implementation of AI automation to enhance underwriting processes * Provide solution architecture guidance for the integration of workflow and task management systems * Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions * Utilize modern integration methodologies to streamline operations * Work closely with Value Stream to ensure requirements are translated into technical solutions * Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to the development team * Ensure the architecture aligns with industry standards and best practices * Provide guidance and direction on cloud based infrastructure deployment principals

Desirable Skills * Familiarity with Unqork * Experience with MS Dynamics 365 * Knowledge of OpenAI * Proficiency in MongoDB * Understanding of GraphQL * Experience with Python
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * Minimum 10 years of experience in Solution or Systems Architecture roles * SAFe Architect certification or similar Agile architecture training * Cloud architecture certification (AWS, Azure) is an advantage * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to: Embrace the hybrid culture offered at AXIS, you need to be in office 3 days per week. Much of the work involves using computers for data entry, analysis, and communication. Comfort with prolonged screen time is necessary. While much of the work may be desk-bound, there might be occasions requiring mobility within the office environment, such as attending meetings or accessing filing systems.
