Job Description:

The Director of Human Resources plays a key leadership role in aligning business objectives with employees and management within PMA Management Corp. The HR Director acts as a strategic advisor and consultant to key business leaders, providing expertise in areas such as talent acquisition, workforce planning and analytics, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation management, change management, and talent development. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong business acumen, HR expertise, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.


Responsibilities:



  • Partner with executive and senior business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide counsel on talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, and overall talent management.
  • Lead or support key organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and transition support.
  • Guide performance management and employee development efforts, ensuring alignment with company goals and culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
  • Identify and analyze trends in HR metrics and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Lead, design and otherwise collaborate with existing centers of excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development) to deliver effective HR programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HRBPs or HR Generalists.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner or HR leadership role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, organization strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders.
  • Deep understanding of HR practices, employment law, and organizational development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience managing HR professionals.


Certifications (preferred):



  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification.


Working Conditions:



  • Hybrid/Remote/In-office (as applicable)
  • Occasional travel is required
