System Administrator IV Location: San Antonio, TX Classification: Exempt Clearance: Secret System Administrator IV This is a proposal opportunity. If awarded, the ideal candidate is a System Engineer IV and is designated to support requirements that cross all telecommunications activities and have subject matter expertise in (Unified Critical Telecommunication Systems) such as nurse call, middleware transport, pocket pagers, and public address systems that intra-communicate supporting urgent and emergent staff within the facility. Overall Responsibilities: Deploy, sustain and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware. Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of infrastructure platforms. Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of infrastructure systems. Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure platforms. Performs infrastructure platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained. May assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of infrastructure hardware and software products. Level IV performs more independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision compared to a Level III, and may supervise others.
