As the Customer Service Representative at JOSAM in Michigan CIty, IN , you will assist with email and phone inquiries on product features, inventory availability, pricing, and order entry. This position plays a key role as the point of contact for our customers and representatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service by combining system knowledge, product knowledge and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.
  • First point of customer contact for inquires relating to pricing, product information, product availability and shipping information.
  • Work with Josam representatives and/or customers to resolve complaints regarding product shortages.
  • Process requests for returns and credits; trace shipments as required and provide POD's (Proof of Deliveries) on an as needed basis.
  • Investigates, verifies, and releases various order holds that may be related to credit problems, pricing discrepancies, part identification problems and part cross referencing issues.
  • Work with multiple departments if needed to answer customer inquiries and/or resolve reported issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree or certifications are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This is a hands-on position in an on-site work environment.
  • May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.*As required by the Americans Disabilities Act (ADA).
