Primary Responsibilities:



  • Managing a competent and motivated staff of underwriters
  • Leading, training and development team
  • Monitoring performance and providing overall guidance
  • Oversee the underwriting of complex accounts, lead large case and delegation of authority reviews, and resolve issues with aggressive timelines

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of financial analysis, pricing and/or underwriting experience, at least 3+ years of which must be within a healthcare environment
  • 3+ years of experience working for a or with a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) or in a consulting role on behalf of PBM clients
  • Experience as a people leader, currently supervising employees
  • Experience building complex financial models and economic analysis
  • Experience with underwriting financial offers for existing and new clients, using a variety of forecast models
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations and communicating effectively, both verbally and through written communication
  • Experience working in a cross functional work environment with an ability to quickly understand new areas
  • Progressive work experience, preferably in a finance related role
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, with proven ability to understand basic to moderate levels of formulas, formatting, and ad hoc spreadsheet building



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Pricing experience within a PBM & Specially
  • Team leadership experience

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
