JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Quality Improvement Analyst will serve as an expert-level analyst supporting the development and administration of a health system-wide quality and operational analytics, primarily focused on patient experience, patient safety and infection prevention, and regulatory initiatives, such as Magnet and CMS requirements. Works under minimal supervision to produce expert-level quantitative and qualitative analysis, analytics using applications like Azure, Python, R, NVivo, SSIS, and VBA, creating reports, dashboards, and other resources in support of Health System Quality & Operational Excellence Department's goals and objectives.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Associate's Degree in healthcare, computer science, nursing, or mathematics
- Experience
6 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent years of work experience may substitute for educational requirements.

JOB DUTIES
- Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams and provide analytical support for various projects related to quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes.
- Design, develop, and automate clinical quality and performance metrics. Maintains knowledge base of data requirements and measure definitions.
- Develops and executes on multiple, advanced project plans with realistic goals and timelines.
- Interpret, explain, and discuss data analysis results with project team. Makes recommendations and support strategies for improving clinical processes and patient outcomes.
- Analyzes and organizes data using the appropriate analytical and statistical methods.
- Identifies extracts, validates and manipulates data from different large databases using data management and querying skills.
- Develops and automates data displays such as charts and reporting tables to present data analysis results and track clinical processes and outcomes.
- Consults on data collection and study design for clinical interventions.
- Coaches and develops other team members, acting as a resource of knowledge and guidance. May supervise and ensure the quality of work performed by others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
