Job Description:
Works in tandem with Alumni Relations and Development, Academic Departments, Athletics, Financial Aid, and University units to acknowledge, steward, recognize and engage donors to the University. Assists with a wide array of donor relations activities and donor communications, including but not limited to Trinity True recognition society, gift acknowledgements, special events, donor gifts, impact reporting, and correspondence all with the goal of increasing donor retention. Works to build and sustain positive relationships between Trinity and its donors.
Assists with management of Trinity's consecutive giving program, Trinity True, including the tracking of donors, recognition items, and annual engagements. Assists with planning and coordination of the Trinity True area at Alumni Weekend, including ordering items needed. Coordinates annual mailings to these donors. Coordinates with Annual Giving to develop and manage broad-based or program-based stewardship communications such as impact reports, eNewsletters, video messages, progress reports or updates, among others. Coordinates stewardship of the Trinity University Associates, Parent Associates, and Business Affiliates, including sending welcome packets and tracking on provided benefits, stewardship mailings, and ordering and tracking of recognition items. Manages the gift acknowledgement and honor/memorial notification process including the writing and tracking of presidential acknowledgement letters. Manages donor behavior-based acknowledgement, stewardship, recognition and engagement such as that for first-time donors, recaptured donors, etc. Prepares general recognition and engagement materials for Trinity donors and prospects including: the mailing of articles, announcements, birthday cards, awards, etc. and assists in the stewardship of Trinity's Class Partners. Communicates information to donors in response to specific inquiries. Maintains accurate donor information in database, logs communications, and ensures data supports stewardship strategy. Participates in the execution of special events, by managing the registration process including set-up and RSVPs, offering logistical support, and staffing events as needed. Responsible for selection of and ordering of event related donor gifts and collateral materials for stewardship events. Prepares recognition materials and communications for constituent birthdays, milestones, achievements, holiday celebrations and more.

Ability to be self-motivated and detail oriented. Possess excellent writing, research, editorial and problem-solving skills, including the ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts. Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as a collaborative member of the department. Computer literate with knowledge & ability with word processing equipment and familiarity with data entry and retrieval. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to accurately type. Ability to communicate effectively in English with sound knowledge of spelling, punctuation & grammar. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
