Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and monitoring post-operative recovery.
  • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical experiences and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide thorough education to patients and their families about surgery and recovery.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety guidelines, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to facilitate understanding and promote an atmosphere of trust and comfort.
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care, from initial assessments to discharge planning, within electronic health records.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  1. Current and valid state RN License.
  2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
  6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
