The day-to-day

As an Associate Procurement Specialist, you'll be a vital part of our team, ensuring we have the right materials and services for our important Government programs. You'll work closely with both our suppliers and internal teams like Engineering, Finance, and Legal.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Buying Process: You'll oversee the entire purchasing cycle for your assigned programs, from getting quotes and placing orders to tracking deliveries and ensuring everything arrives on time.
  • Supplier Relationships: You'll build strong relationships with our suppliers, find new ones when needed, and work with them to get the best quality and value for our purchases. You'll also help resolve any quality issues.
  • System and Data Management: You'll maintain accurate data in our procurement systems, including managing parts lists and supplier information.
  • Cost Control & Strategy: You'll help analyze costs, plan for major purchases, and look for ways to save money, like suggesting whether we should make items in-house or buy them.
  • Ensuring Compliance: You'll make sure all purchasing activities strictly follow FAR/DFARS requirements for our Government contracts.

What you'll need

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a similar field is required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, both verbally and in writing. You should also be comfortable giving presentations, even to senior leaders.
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for this role.

Salary range

$50,000.00 - $79,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $62,000.00- $93,000.00/ annually

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
