Job Summary: The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the accurate movement, counting, and tracking of materials and components throughout our manufacturing facility. This position requires a combination of physical capabilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills to ensure production runs smoothly without material shortages or excess inventory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by regularly updating inventory records and performing cycle counts.
- Organize and manage the storage of raw materials, finished goods, and components within the warehouse to ensure optimal space utilization.
- Reconcile stock discrepancies, identify slow-moving inventory, and manage product expiration.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials to avoid production delays.
- Safely move and transport materials to and from the warehouse, production lines, and other areas within the facility using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks).
- Assist in unloading deliveries and verifying the accuracy of shipments, ensuring the correct quantity and quality of goods.
- Organize and label materials and products in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure easy access and identification.
- Oversee the receiving process, ensuring goods are inspected for quality and correctness upon arrival.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of finished products to customers or other departments, preparing shipments and ensuring all relevant documentation is included.
- Coordinate the use of the warehouse shipping and receiving area to ensure smooth operations
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of previous inventory or warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Skills & Abilities:
- Valid forklift certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills essential for inventory accuracy
- Proficiency with inventory management software and computerized systems
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with production and supply chain teams
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with noise, dust, and machinery exposure.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary.
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements
Work Environment:
- Industrial and manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Exposure to moving machinery, lubricants, and other industrial materials.
- Regular interaction with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
