Nokia of America Corporation, Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA.
- Design test plans from product requirement documents for the 7x50/IXR router platform.
- Automate test cases using in-house Tcl or Python based infrastructure.
- Report to Software, Hardware, Firmware and Product Marketing teams to help drive the feature to completion.
- Derive test plan requirements from product requirements and standards documents.
- Augment test strategies and automation with feedback and analysis from real-world customer deployments.
- Review of test plans, test procedures and infrastructure for adequacy and completeness/correctness.
- Play a role in system design reviews so that Quality Assurance is considered through lifecycle of the product.
- Debug and fix issues in automated test cases for a given feature and optimize runtime by re-architecting test suites.
- Analyze results of tests and interacted with functional test engineers, development engineers and Product Managers in the resolution/root causing of test failures. #LI-DNI
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Skills required:
- Scripting and Automation using Python;
- Identifying tools requirements;
- Documenting failure scenarios and isolating problems;
- Networking protocols including TCP, UDP, and IPv4/Ipv6;
- Virtualization platforms including KVM; and Linux Systems.
Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
