Hourly Pay Range:

$34.41 - $53.34 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Required Travel: local travel to other corporate sites (Arlington Heights - Skokie) may be required.

Job Summary:

As the Scrum Master II at Endeavor Health, you will play a key role with leadership opportunities in driving Agile practices and processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Building and leveraging your experience, you will deepen your understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and apply them to coach and mentor team members effectively. You will provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members, empowering them to achieve their highest potential. In addition to facilitating Agile ceremonies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and remove impediments, promote continuous improvement, and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and innovation. The Scrum Master II will contribute to the refinement of Agile processes and play a proactive role in enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

What you will do:

Scrum Facilitation and Team Support

  • Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement) and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Remove impediments or blockers that hinder the progress of the team.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment which encourages teamwork and open communication.

Agile Coaching, Mentorship, and Continuous Improvement

  • Coach and mentor Agile teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and foster a mindset of innovation and collaboration.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to Agile teams and other Scrum Masters within the organization.
  • Actively manage change within the organization, guiding teams through Agile transitions.
  • Conduct Agile or Scrum training sessions for teams to deepen Agile knowledge.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies and recommend process improvements accordingly.

Backlog and Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and project deliverables.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between teams to ensure alignment of interdependencies and goals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor team performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on team progress, sprint outcomes, and retrospectives to stakeholders or leadership.

Risk and Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks that could impact the team's ability to deliver on project goals.
  • Actively manage organizational changes during Agile adoption and provide guidance through transitions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience: Three (3) years of project management experience, including 1 year in Scrum Master role
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams and with Agile methodologies
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
  • Experience in scaling Agile Frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation mediums, ensuring clarity and understanding among team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong multitasking and troubleshooting skills, capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and resolving issues promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, operate under tight deadlines, and solve problems creatively.
  • Advanced analytical skills, enabling critical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution techniques and adaptable to evolving project environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness, contributing to a positive and productive team dynamic.
