Responsibilities
- Assists with tele-psychiatry process in the emergency room setting, providing collaboration and patient support using LEAN concepts, standard workflow and huddle participation with Emergency Room Team.
- Work with ED staff on discharge planning for patients who access emergency psychiatric services.
- Identifies patient's health care needs, connecting them to the appropriate services in the community. Establishing wrap around services that promote stabilization. Connecting the patient to appropriate primary, behavioral and community resources that are patient driven.
- Ensures that each patient has a follow up appointment with a provider.
- Completes Crisis Stabilization Plan for behavioral health patients.
- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with established standards of the State of Iowa, State of Illinois, and the Robert Young
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma from an RN Program
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
- Must apply within 90 days for Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
