Summary

The role of the Sanitation Technician II is to maintain clean equipment and food processing environment for the facility. Sanitation Technician II can perform all job duties associated with Sanitation Tech I. Ensure correct CIP and cleaning processes used, and thorough inspection process completed for food safety. The CIP Technician will follow all applicable GMP and Safety guidelines (including chemical handling) and will complete the needed tasks/duties as scheduled or when needed. The Sanitation Tech II position will serve as the backup in the absence of the Sanitation Lead.

Responsibilities
  • Follow plant safety, GMP, and sanitation procedures.
  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals and operate equipment like scissor lifts, Bobcat skid-steers, and forklifts.
  • Work continuously in wet environments and interact with various departments.
  • Respond to Bloodborne Pathogen contamination and chemical spills.
  • Participate in productivity projects and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform area and 5S audits, document CIP records, and maintain equipment cleanliness based on the Master Sanitation Schedule that Kleanz.
  • Operate floor scrubbing and chemical foaming equipment.
  • Offload bulk hazardous chemicals and perform tank dumps.
  • Input and review CIP charting using Carlson CIPHD.
  • Prepare and clean manufacturing equipment manually and by CIP.
  • Conduct pre-CIP and post-CIP inspections and verification swabbing.
  • Participate in Root Cause investigations and chemical titration procedures.
  • Perform Sanitary Breaches procedure on active manufacturing equipment.
  • Disassembly, reassembly, and prepping of manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of equipment functionality (valve, pump and instrumentation) and CIP system HMI functionality.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, raise to management when necessary, and place work orders through the automated Maintenance Work Order System.
  • Verification/swabbing of the cleaning and inspection of manufacturing equipment for release to production.
  • Complete Job Instruction Training and fill in for Sanitation Lead as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-year food manufacturing experience in the Sanitation field.
  • Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office, Word.

Compensation Range:$23.25-$29.75, plus bonus.
