We're seeking an entry-level SQL Engineer who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to data-driven solutions. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 1-3 years professional experience or internship experience working with SQL. The ideal candidate is a team player, takes initiative, and is excited to work on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site role. Candidates must be in a commutable distance or willing to relocate independently.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Works with other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary and establishing best practices for the reports and procedures. Helps solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future. Work split is anticipated to be 80% SQL dev/20% DBA.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, testing and deployment of data integration packages using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), including the ability to develop ETL processes to load data warehouse applications
• Development and implementation of standard BI development processes and templates
• Design, develop, and implement logical and physical database designs in Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014
• Help write and optimize SQL Queries
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Prepare documentations and specifications
• Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Work with, and mentor, other developers optimizing SQL queries as necessary, and establishing best practices
• Help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Skillsets: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Manufacturing Industry experience, Problem Solving, Optimization, Great Communication
• Understand database modeling and design principles and ability to use and create data model diagrams
• Capable of configuring SQL Server database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Capable of troubleshooting common stored procedures and reports issues
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
• Understand complex SQL code and work with 3rd party applications
• SSRS/SSAS experience would be a distinct advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and task execution
• Open to handling a variety of tasks and adapting to changing priorities

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1- 3 years of relevant professional experience, or internship experience working with SQL. In addition to SQL experience BI Tools would be a plus.
