Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of radiation therapists, simulation therapists, and mold technicians.
  • Ensure the delivery of effective radiation therapy treatment by supervising and supporting staff.
  • Uphold the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and manage the performance of team members.
  • Provide instruction to newly hired staff and students on equipment use and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient appointment schedules and billing information.
  • Deliver and accurately record radiation therapy treatments in collaboration with a radiation oncologist.
  • Conduct chart audits, participate in quality assurance procedures, and interpret computerized treatment plans.
  • Create custom molds and perform basic dosimetry tasks with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • Minimum of five years of active practice as a Registered Radiation Therapist (RTT).
  • ARRT certification and valid state license for radiation therapy required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Proficiency with treatment planning computer components.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift 40-pound blocks.
  • Strong visual acuity for monitoring treatment displays and fields.
  • Effective communication skills for patient and staff interaction.
  • Mobility to assist patients and maintain documentation.
