The Regional Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer's primary objective is to lead and guide all site safety activity. Based in Diboll, TX, this role will also support Alexandria, LA and Hope, AR. The PSM Engineer is critical in the identification of projects and execution of those projects that have been identified to reduce risk in the process areas. Providing insight to the execution of Hexion's strategic and tactical plan for all Health, Safety and Security matters for the manufacturing site is a key objective. The successful candidate understands the regulatory and tactical overlap of the Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Process Safety regulations. The Safety Engineer partners with and is a key resource for Safety/Operations training at the site. This position fosters a culture of engagement, empowerment, partnership and compliance through direction and oversight of programs that support Hexion's primary goal of an incident-free workplace. The Safety Engineer plans and directs activities ensuring alignment with the corporation's EHS goals and initiatives at the manufacturing site. The position provides leadership, coaching and technical expertise to site leadership teams and site associates to meet these goals. This person, partnering with site leaders, is charged with creating the protocols and practices ensuring we operate safely while producing our products. Job Responsibilities
