Job Responsibilities |
The
WSON Clinical Coordination Manger has overall responsibility for the coordination of clinical placements and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance clinical coordination and workflow efficiencies across undergraduate/graduate programs. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with depart chairs, faculty, and staff across the WSON to determine clinical placement requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all clinical facilities and community sites utilized in the placement process.
- Coordinate and schedule clinical placements for the WSON based on student requirements, clinical facility, and preceptor availability.
- Create and manage databases of all clinical requests each semester.
- Assist the Associate Deans/Department Chairs and clinical course coordinators to determine the number of clinical instructors/preceptors each semester.
- Ensure and maintain adequate records of student/clinical instructor/preceptor compliance that aligns with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain regular contact with on-line graduate program vendor
- Attend quarterly RASON meeting
- Identify areas for continuous quality improvement and implement strategies/efficiencies to enhance the quality of the clinical placement process.
- Oversight and supervisory responsibility for clinical coordinator position.
- Other duties as determined by the Dean, Associate Dean and Department Chair.

Education / Experience |
The nursing programs in the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (
CCNE).
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree
- Two (2) years of full-time, or equivalent, professional experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience with clinical coordination at a college/university level
- A strong commitment to student centered learning
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion
- Demonstrated ability and interest in contributing to the growth of the WSON and University in developing community relations.
