Gilbane Building Company is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Specialist to lead strategic proposal and marketing activities within our Federal Division. Responsibilities

    Independently lead the development and production of qualifications, proposals, and presentations with a focus on quality, creativity, and meeting client deadlines
  • Manage pursuit processes directly with Business Development (BD) teams, ensuring alignment and strategic messaging
  • Display strong abilities in ensuring proposals and other submittals are fully compliant with all aspects of RFP/Q technical, contractual, and pricing requirements
  • Craft compelling content that highlights Gilbane's differentiators, project experience, and client value
  • Ensure all external content and deliverables align with Gilbane's brand standards and messaging guidelines
  • Active participant in presell meetings and strategic brainstorms
  • Lead marketing campaigns, branded content, awards and speaking submissions, and event support to enhance market visibility
  • Develop and execute internal and external communications including newsletters, press releases, website content, social media, and digital campaigns
  • Organize and maintain digital assets for efficient access and use; support and guide junior team members
  • Conduct market research to understand client needs, trends, and opportunities; share insights with BD and leadership
  • Lead close-out process of sales and marketing deliverables
  • Visit jobsites to gather content, take photos, and interview teams for storytelling opportunities
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Manage multiple deliverables concurrently with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Communicate and work effectively in a virtual team environment to lead pursuits from a variety of markets across time zones requiring flexible work styles - supporting others, coordinating, and working independently
  • Participate in professional and community organizations, exploring leadership opportunities
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, and best practices


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the marketing and/or AEC industry
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strategic and technical content writing experience is a must

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Technical Skills: Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office and MS Teams are required; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite desired
  • Professional Development: Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills; excels in working independently and collaboratively in a team; advanced writing and critical thinking skills; strong at process management
  • Business Acumen: Mastery of Gilbane services and advanced knowledge of construction management and industry awareness as a whole

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Sacremanto, CA, this ranges from $113,200.00-$155,700.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Concord and Los Angeles, CA, this ranges from $125,500.00-$172,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For San Jose, CA this ranges from $131,700.00-$181,100.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
