DaVita - Physician Experience

On the OneView team at DaVita, we design apps (desktop, web, mobile) for physicians to help them manage, treat, and improve the lives and the care of their patients. Healthcare IT is notorious for lagging behind consumer products in design, user experience, and customer satisfaction. Mid-Level UX/UI Designer

We are looking for a creative and collaborative UX designer who can keep the user at the center of our designs. This person will partner with other UX Design team members, Product Managers and Technical Architects to uncover real problems as well as concept and validate effective design solutions.

You will be responsible for UX design solutions by utilizing discovery and analysis, user research, information architecture, and interaction skills. You must be able to create impactful change through functional, intuitive and efficient user experiences.

  • Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge, and learn from them
  • Effectively communicate project statuses to manager and scrum team members

UX Requirements

  • Deliver UX/UI designs that are user-friendly, purpose functional best practices, adhere to UI brand guidelines, and comply to proper usage of composition, color, text, hierarchy, and structure
  • Proficient in Figma application, using design system component libraries and best practices to streamline and create proficient design files
  • Proficient in iOS native design
  • Proficient in sketching, creating flows, wire framing, sitemaps, interaction definition, and clickable prototypes
  • Identify the right problems to solve and advocate for user needs and representation in the translation of business objectives
  • Ability to understand and translate requirements into concepts and wireframes that lead to usable, effective, and efficient user experiences
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, teams, and users
  • Collaborate and drive conversation with Product Managers and Technical Architects to uncover clear problem definitions and identify assumptions
  • Partner with and support Research in conducting research efforts including user discovery, concept validation, and usability evaluation
  • Translate research findings and recommendations into fully functional technical designs that will be meaningful for users and will align with the product roadmap
  • Collaboratively and effectively negotiate technical or functional trade-offs with product owners and development
  • Deliver design specifications needed to ensure high quality development
  • Work through implementation with development teammates to ensure the desired user experience is carried through the development cycle

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in healthcare
  • Mixpanel or Pendo analytic software experience
  • Understanding of AI tools and evolving tech that can enhance and make design and user experiences more efficient and effective
