Overview

TRC Advanced Energy is seeking a qualified individual to support commercial and industrial energy efficiency and demand management programs in New York. Responsibilities may include energy analysis, site inspections, technical writing, and project management for multiple commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects and/or customers. Candidates must possess strong technical capabilities including knowledge of building systems, energy efficiency, demand management, green building and sustainability. The desired candidate will work collaboratively with the Advanced Energy team and clients to provide field support and implement market transforming programs that encourage energy efficiency across the Northeast.

The candidate will be presented with the challenge of a diverse range of projects found in commercial and industrial energy systems. There will be significant interface with clients that may require travel. The position requires the ability to manage projects, and lead, direct, and coordinate the work of team members (internal and external) of varied backgrounds. This position requires flexibility; diversity of technical expertise; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and excellent customer care skills. The candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of complicated tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule site visits with C&I, Multifamily, Residential customers;
  • Confirm project scopes of work with customer and confirm that scopes match project applications and records;
  • Conduct inspections to document existing building conditions, operations, and schedules and to identify potential efficiency measures;
  • Conduct inspections to verify that the energy efficiency measures meet program quality standards;
  • Provide design and technical assistance to projects and recommend relevant energy efficiency measures;
  • Provide customer support with the energy efficiency work scope development;
  • Provide technical guidance and support in addressing onsite issues;
  • Develop inspection reports that summarize on-site findings and include photographs and action items to resolve discrepancies;
  • Work with customers and contractors to resolve discrepancies identified on site

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related major
  • Experience in construction, energy engineering, or related building science field
  • Established critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Established presentation and public speaking skills
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in MS Office and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license in the State of New York is strongly preferred; position entails travel, mostly within New York City.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
