Description
The Revenue Assurance Manager provides leadership and technical expertise in the area of manufacturer merchandising support. This individual manages merchandise operations, develops and executes merchandising plans that will deliver volume and profit goals utilizing customer insights, consumer trends, buying patterns, sales and inventory metrics, forecasting, and competitive landscape to partner across the organization as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes for all stakeholders. Essential Functions:
- Provides Merchandising Support for claims processes throughout the entire life cycle which includes final disposition, ensuring the dealership recovers all allowable financial support from the manufacturer
- Ensures systems related to heavy rental and rental purchase option processes are delivering accurate billing and asset depreciation associated with rental activity
- Manages and furthers the development of the dealership's fleet pricing model, which established and sets asking prices for each fleet asset on a monthly basis
- Manages rental and rental purchase option invoicing for machine and work tools, by ensuring systems and processes are delivering accurate billing and asset depreciation associated with rental activity
- Creates and performs Sales CRM Process and Training for the dealership's sales force, Extended Protection Plan enrollments for Rental and New RPO machines
- Supports Heavy Rental Fleet disposition planning and programming, various reporting and analytics for New Machine Sales and Heavy Rental, and leading and managing human resources
- Forecasts monthly rental revenue and identifies/communicates revenue opportunities to sales management
- Develops revenue recognition strategies to maximize company revenue
- Serves as a data liaison to Caterpillar and provides ongoing clarity to sales force regarding programs and continual/dynamic changes of Caterpillar programming
- Assists in budget preparation and expense control activities in support of organizational goals
- Oversee revenue analysis, monthly revenues/expenses, management, calculations and reporting functions on a monthly basis
- Provides financial expertise to Management for revenue improvements
- Develop internal controls to support revenue management activities
- Reviews and recommends improvements to existing revenue management functions
- Identifies and resolves revenue related issues promptly
- Creates ad hoc reports/requests as needed
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of construction equipment industry
- Knowledge of sales analytics, economic accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis, tracking and data analysis and reporting of financial data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
- Proficient skills required in solid problem solving, planning, organization, time management and analysis
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
- Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar field required
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
- Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Ability to moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
- Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
