Insurance Coordinator - Out Patient - Hospital Silver Spring, MD Pay From: $22 Per Hour MUST: 4+ years medical office and or hospital experience Medical benefit experience Experienced obtaining 3 rd party authorizations and pre-certifications Verifying insurance benefits Experienced working with Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payors to verify benefits and obtain pre-authorizations Reviewing paperwork with patients and ensuring forms are filled out properly Experience reviewing out of pocket expenses and deductibles with patients Experience collecting and processing payments Strong documentation skills and experience working with EMR Strong organizational skills Good communication skills High School Diploma or GED DUTIES: The Duties of the Insurance Coordinator-Financial Rep include but are not limited to the following: Obtain 3 rd party authorizations and pre certifications for Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payers for home health visits and equipment Verify insurance Follow up with insurance companies Review out of pocket expenses and deductibles due with patients Provide insurance verification information for denials to support reimbursements Review paperwork for accuracy with patients Create reports Document information in EMR Assist patients with inquiries Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
