Sr. Red Hat Linux Administrator Annapolis, MD Pay From: $45.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Sr. Red Hat Linux Administrator 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology field. Red Hat performance tuning and support. Load balancing, partitioning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery. 24/7 system availability environments. Application development support and electronic imaging systems. Working in complex networked system environments. Administering IBM AIX on pSeries systems. Administering systems including, but not limited to: Oracle WebLogic, Oracle DB, Progress 4GL/OpenEdge, Apache Web Servers, vSphere-hosted RHEL, Rubrik backup systems, Oracle OBI, Elastic Search, CVS, PeopleSoft, Mobius Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field DUTIES: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, testing, and production environments. Performing system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Automating system administration tasks using Ansible, Bash, or Python. Administering Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other RHEL ecosystem tools. Collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance. Maintaining storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Supporting application teams with best practices for Linux-based deployments. Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Participating in on-call support and incident response. Configuring Network File Server (NFS) and mount points.
