As a Control Center Operator, you will be at the heart of our operations, monitoring and controlling product movements through pipelines, analyzing data, and contributing to incident investigations with your technical expertise. Here's what you will do:

  • Support the development, oversight and alignment of multiple management systems, processes and practices within the CCC.

  • Responsible for the development and upkeep of the CCC SharePoint site

  • Provides strategic and technical advice regarding CCC process improvements.

  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing CCC events of non-compliance by ensuring that deviations are created within a timely matter.

  • Support quarterly and annual CRM and procedural reviews from a technical perspective.

  • Support CCC compliance through presentations, data compilation, and tracking and analyzing action plans in response to internal and 3rd party audits.

  • Aid other CCC staff to facilitate departmental objectives and operational excellence.

  • Participate during CCC Incident Investigations and provide technical analysis of abnormal operations.

  • Gatekeeper of departmental MOC's include creation, monthly reviews, training, and close out.

  • Steward of CCC's procedure database, including facilitating procedural revision/ creation, and ensuring workflow is completed by applicable regulations.

  • Participates in Admin On-Call rotation which grants full authority for restart decisions following an emergency decision.

  • Develops and delivers training material to members of the team with minimal oversight regarding content and delivery methods.

Who you are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • Related university degree and minimum of seven or more years of experience, OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification, and experience.

  • Proficient in the use of software such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and strong general computing skills in Microsoft Windows environment.

  • Good listening skills and ability to explain in a clear and consistent manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate and manage change.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

  • Self-motivated and directed with attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and control center environment on a regular schedule.

  • Occasional business travel to Canada and other business locations within the US.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 50 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 20 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
