JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Hazleton is accepting applications for a part-time Professional Tutor for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. The professional tutor will facilitate individual and/or small group undergraduate tutoring appointments on an as-needed basis (10 hours per week maximum, no minimum limit). Topics covered will include all aspects of PTA coursework as well as anatomy and physiology. In addition to content instruction, the professional tutor will integrate effective study and learning strategies into tutoring sessions with the ultimate goal of assisting students in becoming successful and independent graduates. Applicants are required to have appropriate credentials in the Physical Therapist Assistant field and should have experience within higher education in teaching or tutoring. Candidates for this position will adhere to Penn State's Academic Integrity policy; agree to act appropriately in terms of communication, session notes, punctuality, and collegiality; and agree to act in a professional manner respecting all types of individuals in our diverse university community.
