DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Performs a wide variety of facility maintenance. Duties may include plumbing, light construction, painting, relamping of light fixtures, minor welding and fabrication.
- Executes the installation, maintenance, and operation of automated material handling and automated packaging equipment.
- Reviews operating procedures/problems with warehouse and production staff.
- Assists with equipment relocation and installations.
- Reviews drafts of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accuracy and understanding.
- Maintains equipment history, equipment failure patterns, and inventory using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Provides insights in research/evaluation of new and existing equipment needs.
- Interprets mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Fabricates tools and parts for equipment, and facility projects and repairs.
- Troubleshoots HVAC system problems and occupancy set points.
- Provides insights on continuous improvement opportunities and owns action items/deliverables from improvement initiatives.
- Conducts safety inspections of work areas.
- Executes and tracks preventive maintenance program activities and coaches junior members.
- Rebuilds gear boxes, and electric motors.
- Operates industrial tools, including milling machine and welders.
- Troubleshoots single and three phase power applications.
- Compiles spare parts list for new equipment.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- Five years related experience installing, repairing and maintaining automated and material handling equipment.
- Ability to work alongside and mentor junior staff.
- Requires knowledge of operation and maintenance of conveyors, sorters, automated packaging equipment, barcode scanners, forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Fabrication skills including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, Oxy Acetylene torch, arc gouger, and plasma cutter.
- Solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's).
- Solid understanding of pneumatic valves, manifolds, cylinders, vacuum components, and electrical interface.
- Knowledge of motor controls, AC/DC variable speed drives, and Servo motor systems.
- Solid knowledge of AC and DC power; Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Solid knowledge of photo sensors, including photo sensor types, capabilities, working voltages, and applications.
- Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Basic technical writing ability.
- Windows based PC knowledge.
- Understanding theory and troubleshooting of electric lift truck drive control panels.
- Understanding of gear sets/ratios, motor horse power and rpm, and forklift physics fundamentals.
- Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training, licensing/certification or work experience.
- Requires established skills to perform a range of routine activities; this may include application of administrative or analytical/technical skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent,
- Knowledge of facility HVAC system including condenser loop, water tower, bypass system, and hydronic pump water and power sources.
- Familiarity with potable and fire suppression water systems and natural gas supply.
- Knowledge of machine safety devices, requirements and controls.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Ability to obtain Material Handling Equipment Certification including fork lift and yard truck.

This position is onsite in North Bend, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This position includes a base pay range of $28.12 - $44.95 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
