The most important thing we build is TRUST Overview The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer II/III will support the EHS Staff in maintaining policies/procedures required to adhere to CAES EHS Management and Technical Standards. The EHS Engineer will provide support to assist the organization in meeting and maintaining CAES's "No Harm" standard and ISO 14001 certification. The EHS Engineer will provide support for the site's safety programs including the ergonomics program, as well as any associated evaluations, inspections, training and recordkeeping necessary to promote the safest work environment possible. The EHS Engineer will, on occasion, assist the department in matters relating to the site's environmental responsibilities and have a good understanding of reporting metrics and drive continuous improvement by engaging the site's other business stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum:
Preferred:
* Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health, and Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry
* Understand data analysis, trending, root cause problem solving and using measurements to drive process improvement
* Thorough understanding of ergonomic principals as applied to various work environments including industrial, manufacturing and office settings
* Enthusiastic about process improvement, a self-starter that is driven to improve and sustain initiatives
* Familiarity with the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) method in defining risk associated with each step of a process or task
* Knowledge of federal/state/local regulations
* Data analysis
* Technical writing/interpretation of reports
* Microsoft office/other software proficiency
* Incident analysis - root cause to corrective action
Physical Demands:
* Ability to bend down (work under a desk or bench), stand for extended periods, and lift 50lbs Salary Range: $94,029- $117,537 annually (San Diego). Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
